Socios educativos reconocidos por C-TECC
El Comité de Atención Táctica de Emergencias a Víctimas (C-TECC) está implementando un nuevo proceso de Socio Educativo Reconocido este año. The Committee of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) is rolling out a new Recognized Educational Partner process this year. This process launches in July and will allow the Committee to review current and future partner entities to ensure organizations are still active and upholding the standards of our guidance and training to those principles. Starting today, organizations who wish to remain or become educational partners may submit for consideration. The new process requires organizations to submit a new agreement, training reports, and a royalty fee on an annual basis. Please see below for step-by-step guidance on how the process will work:
Step #1: Organizations should firstly complete, sign, and submit the new agreement form, which includes both a copyright and licensing agreement. Any organizations applying for a waiver should complete and submit along with their agreement, additional information on the waiver below. The Committee will review and follow-up with any questions.
Recognized Educational Partner Agreement Form
Step #2: Once an organization's agreement form has been approved, the Committee will issue the organization an invoice for the annual royalty fee of $100 via Square. If an organization is approved for a waiver, this step will be skipped for the respective entity.
Step #3: In return, approved organizations will receive a frontmatter slide, which must be displayed in any curriculum and a new partner logo to display on their training and marketing materials indicating their Recognized Educational Partner status with the Committee. Additionally, partners will be listed in the directory on the Committee website.
Step #4: Next year during the annual partner process, organizations will need to report training requirements along with an up-to-date agreement. Training requirements include the number and type (Bystander, Non-Duty to Act [Law Enforcement, Non-EMS Fire, other public safety] Advanced Life Support/Basic Life Support) of courses delivered and number of students taught.
Please note, government, public safety, and non-governmental organizations who do not charge tuition for training and wish to apply for a waiver, to exempt them from the annual royalty fee, may complete and submit a waiver form. The waiver form can be located as the last page in the agreement form. If your organization chooses to apply for a waiver, the completed form should be submitted along with the agreement form in step #1 above.
After July 15, any current partners who have not submitted a new agreement and royalty fee (or waiver, if eligible) and been approved as an ongoing educational partner will be removed as a partner until these new requirements are met. Removed partners are no longer authorized to utilize C-TECC materials in their trainings nor display the partner logo on their materials.
C-TECC is a non-profit committee of pre-hospital and emergency medicine experts convened to speed the transition of military medical lessons learned from the battlefield to civilian crisis response in order to reduce preventable causes of death in both our first responders and civilian population. Royalty fees will be used in the operations of the Committee to meet, conduct research, and issue guidance.
