MedAire recently completed a successful #AirEvacuation for one of yachting clients, moving the patient from The Seychelles to South Africa, in under just 24 hours.
This remarkable achievement provided a much-improved patient outcome and is testament both to the maturity of our medical and Air Evacuation networks and the expertise of our medical teams.
A few key successes included:
• Initial recommendation > activation of Air Ambulance = 3 hours (arranging permits etc can sometimes take as long as 48 hours)
• Activation of Air Ambulance > Air Ambulance departing to pick up the patient = 2 hours
