Wurstkultur. 🙂 Planning to tour Germany and try as many types of deutsche Wurst as possible? Then this could be your map.
Although Bregenwurst is from south Lower Saxony in northwestern Germany, not as here, and Pinkel is in Bremen and Frisia, which are also quite a bit further up the map, not Osnabrück. While some, like Knackwurst, can be found everywhere just with different seasonings etc.
And yes Berlin has its Currywurst, but it is the sauce on the sausage that makes it.
While the Saarland, which should be a bit under the Aachener Weihnachts-Leberwurst, has an excellent saarländische Lyoner.
Thought by around 80% of Saarlanders to be the most popular Saarland dish, although it is said to have originated in the French city of Lyon.
